"Informative words to go with the best pictures in Florida!
You people really know what you're doing, and I have not found a single
photographer in my daughters modeling career who can match your professional
skill in photography or extensive knowledge of the business. I enjoy
reading your developments section to see what is going on with you.

The current Aurora PhotoArts
site continues to surprise us. Not only is the site extremely effective
as a marketing tool and is instrumental in helping us book record levels
of work, but an experimental feature is proving to be a brilliant addition
to the site design.
We’re talking about our CLIENT
ALERT system, which not only works, but is inspiring a
lot of curiosity about the great ideas that our staff seems to come
up with all of the time. We have a bet going on around here that some
photographers will start using a similar system (as long as they don’t
claim that they came up with it and give credit where it is due, we
don’t really mind). The irony is that the alert system works best
when you A.) Have at least a few years of working in a market like Tampa
Bay, and B). Are actually booking enough work and have worked with enough
models to use it with. For most of the people who would do that out
there, neither is the case.
So what is our alert system all about? Well, it stemmed from research
and study of our web logs over the years. We noticed that some of our
traffic and the patterns that emerged were from models and other clients
going on our web site to look at their pictures, and they would often
forward the web site profiles to their friends and professional contacts
(we have the same issue with our web proofs that we send to clients
who have finished their photography sessions).
After a few years
of heavy bookings, life throws a monkey wrench into our client contact
flow, and we lose touch with some of our clients. It’s not, mind
you, intentional for either our clients or ourselves, but it does happen.
C. A. Passinault, after noticing that there were several clients who
vanished and had the opportunity to go over the final design documents
of this present site a week before it was coded, realized that there
was an answer to his problem. He inked in the alert system, figured
out how it would work in a day of sorting out details, and then forwarded
the design addition to the EOS Web Team so they could implement the
experimental feature.
There is a lot of psychology behind the alert system. We know people
and human nature (one of the reasons that our sell-through numbers are
so good). C. A. Passinault realized that such a system was the perfect
way to get important messages to unavailable clients who eventually
came back to the site to look at their pictures. None of us were prepared
for just how effective this idea would be.
Many of our clients are now checking in after they see an alert for
them, and we are reconnecting with our past clients, who are very enthusiastic
about working with us again. One client, Jinelsa Rosado, was a fifteen
year old child model when we last worked with her. She’s now nineteen,
very much grown up, and we are booking her into our stock photography
program because we know she’s an experienced model and can deliver
the professional looks that the project needs.
We have some really interesting
features that we will be adding to the site design soon, such as a PHP
based database system that will allow the interactive serving of the
right pictures for individual visitors based on their activity on the
site. We’ll check that out later.
