Our PhotoStock program is an ongoing stock photography program. Models who book into this program and who participate are strongly considered for our commercial photography projects, so this program works in more than one way if models want to book big jobs with us. Most commercial photography jobs pay straight rates, but stock photography sessions pay long term instead.
These photography sessions do not pay regular rates, but they do pay by royalty arrangement. Depending upon the skill and the look of the model, the model earns a potential range of percentages from the sale of stock images.
Since we have advertising agencies and commissioned sales people selling these images to commercial clients, the payout to the model is less than half. The advantage of having a team selling these images is that there is a great chance that the images will actually make money for the model and everyone involved.
Due to the professional resources and time required to develop our stock images, we will only consider professional models for this kind of work. Models must have composite cards, a current resume, and a cover letter addressed to us. Models do not have to be a client to be considered for these projects. As a reminder, we do not cross stock photography or commercial jobs with our portfolio development work. You do not have to buy a thing from us, and if your composite cards and portfolios submitted are less than professional, we will only use that as a basis of booking you and not as a prelude to solicitation for portfolio photography. Limiting this to professional models also limits the risk of a potential conflict of interest.
So, what do we sell stock photographs for? Glad you are wondering. It varies, but you can see those rates throughout this site.
Go to our STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY area in our SERVICES SECTION for selling rates of stock photographs. We don't have many available photo stock images yet, but soon you will also be able to price stock photographs in our online PORTFOLIO SECTION. Some images in different galleries will be "stock enabled", covered by a signed stock photography release. That's what that faded "Purchase this image" link on the bottom of every image portfolio page will be for; Image descriptions will have order numbers and prices in their descriptions once they are stock enabled.
For convenience, we will soon have them grouped in their own PHOTOSTOCK GALLERY, too.

This is an ongoing project with hundreds of planned sessions. Pay is royalty based and is a set percentage of sales with no monetary limit cap.

You may submit your composite card, resume, and a cover letter addressed to us in ongoing consideration of this program. For specific Aurora PhotoStock sessions that you wish to submit to, see our current session listings, which have a description and submission deadline dates.

We often refer our model, actor, and talent clients to advertising agencies for booked model jobs in the Tampa Bay markets as well as other major markets. Talent do not have to be our clients in order to be referred to the advertising agency bookings, as they only need to have professional career tools such as portfolios, composite cards, and head shots in order to be considered. Referred talent may use the professional tools that they have and are not required to book any services from us in order for us to refer them.
Aurora PhotoArts allows our clients to bring along a friend or a family member to any service that they book as long as it is not a professional conflict of interest.
Clients and models under the age of 21 are encouraged to involve their parents in the consultation, booking, and service process of any of our services that they wish to book. Anyone under the age of 18 is required to have the full participation of their parents or legal guardian. We do not knowingly solicit minors for any service that we offer.
We only refer models to top model and talent agencies who have professional clients and who are associated with ethical professionals. Aurora PhotoArts is not affiliated with any model and talent agency or agencies, and our photography and design services company is not represented by any agency. We are not responsible for the opinions and actions of any agencies who we may refer our clients to. Additionally, we recommend that models invest in portfolio pictures and composite cards before going to any agency, as this will avoid any potential professional or ethical conflicts of interest without compromising the integrity or quality of the portfolio pictures and modeling career tools that they need.
