		Wednesday, June 1, 2005 - CPR Library Ordered Scrapped We assigned a production team to convert the 32 DJ Whiz Kid/ DJ Frontier Cassette Program Releases to MP3's and possible re-release, and the project was well underway until the library was brought out of storage, dusted off, and they sat around listening to them. There were a lot of great ideas with some of them that could be used today, but some of the previous efforts were so outdated that releasing them today would reflect badly on us. They are not up to our present professional standards, and the first ones from the early 1990's were so bad that they inspired laughter where none was intended. The old analog mastering technology and primitive mixing tools that were used back then no longer do the potential of these programs any justice. Nostalgia is no substitute for reality. We have come a long, long way. We now possess the latest digital production workstations, and finally have the capability of producing professional quality programs. As of today, the library has been returned to storage and sealed (although, just for fun, we will allow Frontier Society to review them, providing none of them get out). Records of the releases have been preserved as a footnote, but the entire line has been scrapped completely, and we have no intentions of letting anyone listen to them ever again. With no hope of these releases ever getting into the hands of the public, that clears us to completely disregard the previous line and re-use the titles and some of the best ideas. We have definite plans for a new line of releases on CD's, as some of those releases will be used for event work.
