Thursday, November 9, 2006 - Operations Are Ongoing
Effective immediately, we are monitoring all the event planning and stage companies in Florida for the possibility of the unauthorized use of our properties. Sister Passinault.Com photography and design services company Aurora PhotoArts, a Tampa Bay market leader since 2003, has experienced several incidents of plagiarism and the theft of their ideas, and we are expecting competition to be more interesting in this market. We are hoping for the best, but are preparing for the worst. Sister company Dream Nine Studios, an indy film production company, has also experienced some of this behavior, and they have traced a few of the incidents to the event planning market here in Tampa Bay. These early warning indicators may be a sign of some viscous, underhanded competition in the event planning and stage production industries, as these markets are more profitable and and far stronger than the photography services market. Security measures will be increased immediately and will border on extreme measures. While we will be setting new standards in the event services and stage production industries in 2007, we will not tolerate plagiarism and the misappropriation of our properties and ideas, and are preparing to take aggressive action to protect them if necessary. We will be taking steps to keep sensitive information and trade secrets out of our marketing material, which includes this web site. Passinault today ordered Directive 88, which will begin with an evaluation of existing site content and will regulate all content posted (Aurora was ripped off back in 2003 because some of their ideas were on their web site. Their efforts have improved, but a new directive will be put into place there, too). All booked talent and production support staff will work under strict Non-Disclosure Agreements, and all scripts and support documents will be encrypted. In related news, Operations Director C. A. Passinault has approved a long series of experimental parties and events for production in 2007. The IRIS Film Festival, originally scheduled for spring, may now become a summer 2007 event inspired by what has been observed recently.
